Has Anyone tried the MIO Water enhancing drops??? I have and love them my favorite is the strawberry Watermelon, the fruit Punch makes me thirsty but they are a great alternative to Crystal Light it easier for me to tote that around than 100 little packets of crystal light.

tried them- hated all the ones i tried- made me drink 3 x more than i normally would- the artificial sweetener is not good for you. According to my dietician neither is crystal light- when I need something other than Water i sprinkle a little crystal light and if I already have a pitcher made I dilute it 1/2 and 1/2 water.... helps to kill the "flavor" craving and fills you up better.

I tried the MIO fruit Punch and won't be back. The packaging in no way regulates what a "squeeze" is, so you're left sweetening to your judgment. While some may view that as a plus, I view it as a minus. With packets, everything is pre-measured for me. It's too bad there isn't a liquid alternative that is appropriately measured to take the guesswork out.

I did like the Fruit Punch flavor.

Hate the artificial sweetener taste. I'm gonna have to just remain accustomed to drinking pure Water cause I cant stand the taste of artificial sweeteners, and i find that if I force myself to drink "diet" beverages, I'm almost guaranteed to suffer from a headache soon after. :(

I totally agree with Jimmy James - I don't like the fact that I don't know how much to put in there...and have to test it five times before I get the perfect amount. I'm already indecisive enough without having to measure my Mio!

LML32937, when the Mio first came out my friend and I were in Sam's and we tasted the Mio and it was ok, but I looked and it had aspartame in it and told them that I would have bought it if it had had Splenda instead of the aspartame. Now I see that the Mio has switched to Splenda. Crystal Light also has aspartame and I won't drink it, but if you tried Mio when it had aspartame you might want to try it again.

You can get crystal lite called "Pure" and it's sweetened with Stevia. I won't use anything with aspertame either.

I love it and I love the convenience of it as well - it isn't as messy as the powders. I wish Crystal Light would do a liquid form too, but no luck so far. The Mio Black Cherry is my favorite and it's one of the Energy ones. It gives me a little nudge when I'm dragging and doesn't make me feel too hyper.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
