MissyC 0 Posted July 11, 2006 I'm Missy from North central Tx. Banded on May 22, so I'm a newbie all round. I had my first fill 2 weeks ago, and I'm confused because I expected to feel "fuller", while eating less. The amt I'm able to eat has not changed much at all. I am trying to eat less, but the whole point of all this pain, time and $$$ was to have a smaller eating pouch I thought. .....still on a learning curve I guess. mousecrazy 2 Posted July 11, 2006 Hi, and welcome! Each person is different, so it may take a while for your fill to "kick in." Also, it depends on the size of your band and the amount of your fill. I have a 4cc band, and have had .7cc put in. For others, that amount is not enough. For me, I have averaged about a pound a week loss. There is also the idea that because you CAN eat more, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Working with the head hunger issue is a big part of this journey. Just something to consider. Give yourself a couple of weeks, and if you think you need more restriction, get another small fill, and work with that for a while. I recommend sneaking up on your "sweet spot" to avoid as much as possible over-restriction so you lead a healthy and happy banded life! Good luck to you! I have been immensely happy with my decision!
