Hi all ,

I am 5 days post op....I had to have a catherter the nite after I returned home for about 48 hours due to narcotics at surgery time. Now I pee all the time...day and nite! No pain or fever. I was a often peeer before surgery but now I can't make it an hour at nite without getting up and going...not sure if the cathater being in is the problem or if drinking 50million ozs a day is it....I don't ever feel done if you know what I mean....any nurses...any ideas?

2), Diarrah....how long does this last...doesn't help with the above problem! Also causing butt problems....I usually take a natural Fiber pill that is a capsule that I could empty and add t some drink...crazy idea?

3) MRI's ....can we have them now?

4)Birthcontrol pills...I know they are not a effective for actual birth control but I also take them to control periods because of PCOS....I like only having a period 4 times a year!

5 Head ache.....dealing with a slight one since surgery...off and on...what do yo think?

I have my 1st post op appt on Fri...just thought I'd ask the "other" experts! Thanks, Tracy w.

I was told not to take anything for the diarrehea after surgery. Mine lasted just about a week or so - until I was eating more purred foods than liquid only. Peeing more frequently can happen especially if you are drinking more fluids than you were before. You should be able to take Tylenol for the headache. However I would contact your surgeon with your concerns and ask his advice.

You could be releasing alot of extra Fluid still from your surgery. Now the feeling that your never done...could mean you might have a UTI. So you might want to call your doc about that and have it tested before it gets worse. Having the catherter in so long could cause that.
