E.K. 0 Posted July 25, 2011 Hi my name is E.K. I have been in the weight loss struggle for most of my adult life. I have come to the conclusion that diets just don't work. I have considered having weight loss surgery for some time now, but the opportunity has only recently become available for me to have the surgery. I had to give up smoking and diet Dr. Peppers for the surgery so I must be serious about starting a healthier life style. In the end that's what its all about being health, living longer and getting to spend a lot of good quality time with your family and friends. There are so many things that I want to be able to do again that I haven't been able to do since I have gained so much weight. The thought of surgery is scary but I would have to say that I am really excited about losing the weight and a brighter, fuller and healthier future ahead. My current weight is 363 lbs. I will start my required liquid diet August 2nd and will have my surgery August 16th.

wishes 125 Posted July 25, 2011 I love the attitude! I think everyone on here experiences some fear and self-doubt. We all have failed multiple times in losing this weight, but what amazes is me that we keep getting up and trying again. "Fall down seven times, stand up eight." You can do this. Good luck on your journey!
