melted cheese! What can I do with it!

Recommended Posts

I'm so mad! I went to costco and brought an assortment of cheses in a tray.

Gouda, cheddar, Swiss and Havarti. It was all sliced and nice.

Well for some reason something went wrong and most of it is melted together. I can still separate the different types, but what do I do with it!!!

Can you suggest any not to fattening recipes.

Thanks

I would have to chuck it... Melted cheese is impossible for me to swallow. I don't allow myself cheese anymore. Sorry you got a tainted tray.

Maybe you could fondue? Still fattening though, sorry.

cheese Crisps and Mock "Goldfish" Crackers Recipe courtesy George Stella

Recipe Summary

Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 7 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

User Rating: 4_stars.gif

Try these cheese crisps as a great dip for low-carb salsa, and enjoy the Mock "Goldfish" Crackers as an anytime snack, great for the grab and go!

2 slices American cheese (not "cheese food")

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon chili powder

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

2 ounces deli-sliced Colby-Jack cheese

Low-carb salsa, as needed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Stack the slices of American cheese and cut it into 16 small squares. Separate the pieces, and transfer them to a small bowl. Add the salt, chili powder, and garlic powder toss to combine. Arrange the 32 cheese pieces in 4 rows of 8, on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving as much space in between each as possible.

Stack the Colby-Jack slices and cut them into about 24 small pieces. Arrange them on another parchment paper-lined baking sheet in 4 rows of 6—without any seasonings.

Bake both until well-browned and crispy, about 7 and 7 1/2 minutes. If undercooked, they'll be soggy, so don't be afraid to check them and put them back in for more time, if needed. Cool the crisps and crackers completely before serving—as they cool, they'll crisp up. Store on the counter in an airtight container for a few days.

Here is the recipe guess you could try it with some of the cheese to see if it works.

If you feel like it should not have been all melted together, then take it back...I used to work at costco and they have a money back guarantee for any reason...If not money back, maybe a replacement platter...Just an idea...Windy

If its gotten hot enough to melt together there's no way I'd eat it. I'd chuck it out, its not safe to eat.

You can eat cheese? I am jealous! I love cheese, but since having my first fill, I have found I cannot eat any kind of cheese, melted, whole, none.

Shread it and then put it in small sandwich size baggies and freeze it. You can use it anytime you need some shreaded cheese.< /span>

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
