Aussiegirl 580 Posted September 28, 2011 I don't know how everyone does with this surgery, but did someone get the number of that truck that hit me? I hope you are doing well. I'm having a hard time getting liquids in. Blessings to you. I hear ya, I look like I have been in a fist fight, bruises all over my body. But otherwise (thankfully) I am doing well. Get tired by about midday but then have a rest and am OK again. I do not know how people do it with kids, I really dont envy you that at the moment. I hope the family is helping you in your recovery. Shoppingbeemom 31 Posted September 28, 2011 Hey Girl How are you doing? It was great to meet you and your son. Did you make it home safe and sound? Hi, we made it back safe and sound here in KY. I'm sitting here next to the fireplace and am enjoying a good book. How are you doing on the diet? I am unable to take the cipro, so I'm winging it.

I am unable to take the cipro, so I'm winging it. Hello, I am doing great. I find it hard to find liquids that taste good to me. I have lost a few pounds and I have been taking long walks everyday. What is cipro? I can't wait till next week when I can try mushies.

They were wanting to come and give mommy get well kisses every second and Daddy finally kicked them out of the room. Love that man! I am having a harder time than most ( vomiting) getting my grove back, but everyday is an improvement. I am now able to keep 4 otter-pops down in a day. How are you doing with liquids? I hope all is well with you.

I am going much better than I ever expected to be going. My liquids are going in well, I get there or close most days. Tho having Water alone is a hard on my stomach but Water down with some cordial is easier to get down. I am on purees which are also going well, learning when to stop etc. I am thankful, I was soo worried before hand that it would be hard, and prepared myself emotionally for a really tough recovery, so it feels easy (touch wood). I am soo sorry you are having such a hard time with the recovery. I hope it will keep getting better for you too. Keep me updated on your progress....sending good health and recovery vibes your way. What do you get to eat? Thanks for the vibes and back at you! Hey, it has been a lil while. I have had a busy weekend, it was a long weekend down here with a number of football finals. I also had 2 birthday parties, my cousins 40th and my nephews 3rd birthday. Made for some challenging eating. I took Soup with me to eat for both of them, tho for my nephews birthday I mashed up a quarter of a chicken patty with Tomato and cheese, then mixed in ketchup....sounds gross but was sooo tasty. At the moment I get to eat anything as long as it is pureed and made soft...so there is quite a bit I can have. I even mushed up like 2 teaspoons of my nephews birthday cake. Tho generally I am sticking to thickened Soups. I have found that yogurt makes me quite nauseas. I havent been having food dreams, however have been watching ALOT of food porn (ie food network, magazines), I think it has helped. Hope you are feeling better and are able to get down some liquids without being sick. You are almost at puree stage ...yea!!!

I have had Laughing Cow cheese, and some puree chicken, and egg. The chicken was like a brick, so I drank liquid almost immediately. I did well with the cheese and egg. I haven't tried yogurt yet. I have been watching The Cake Boss on TV. I've gone through the first 2 seasons and I watched The Test Kitchen this weekend ( they made moist thin pork chops) I'm doing alot better, however, I'm still having problems with Water. That is getting better, so I think that will go away. How did your family/ friends take you not eating at the football functions? Your chicken patty combo sounds good to me. Aussiegirl 580 Posted October 27, 2011 I just wanted to drop by and see how my sleeve sister is doing. Can you believe that it is 5 weeks today that we were going under the knife.(well it is thursday here now) I am doing well, have started phasing food in, so not too many issues. Learning how much and how slow I need to go. Sometimes I am not so good at remembering this, especially while working and running around all over the place. Weight loss has slowed but not stalled (touch wood), and I am working out and walking more and more. Cloths are soo baggy now, but am not quite at the next size yet. Now I am working to my weight goal for my trip to New York, which is starting to seel like a bit of a stretch, but ya gotta try right. I hope you are doing well and the issues you were having have subsided somewhat.
Shoppingbeemom 31 Posted November 1, 2011 Hey, Aussiegirl! It's good to hear from you. I'm glad your doing so well. I am doing well too. I have found that mornings are tighter on my sleeve than evening. I had my first stall one week after surgery and have been having a 2 ounce a day loss sence, but I have gone down 2 sizes ( my cousin told me to buy some new cloths, that I looked like I was wearing diapers). I still have Water problems in the morning, but I am able to drink enough at night. Life is now getting to some normalicy. I even traveled a bit.
Aussiegirl 580 Posted November 18, 2011 Hey Bee, 8 weeks today!! Can you believe it? I am in New York at the moment. It has been hard being here, remembering to eat, getting enough Fluid in. And then getting fatigued. Guess I have to learn to be able to travel a different way. As I am on the go all the time and no longer have hunger pains I will just not eat or drink and wonder why I am exhausted. Only 3 more days and I will be home. I have been shopping up a storm, all sale stuff and a few different sizes to grow down to. Is your sleeve still tight in the mornings? I have the same problem, but mornings were never a friend of mine when it came to food. I find a piece of wholemeal toast with a spread on it fits in perfectly. How are you doing?
