Soo tired of doctors appointments!

Recommended Posts

So I think I've had close to 30 appointments in preparation for my surgery. I'm really getting sick of this. Until now I saw a doctor about once a year. Now I have about 3 appointments per week - 5 more until surgery. I'm so sick of it. How many of these crazy appointments will I have after I'm sleeved? OMG. It's not like I don't have anything else to do. Oh, and did I mention that for most of these appointments I have to drive an hour each way? Oh and other than my enormous weight problem, I AM pretty heathly. No co-morbidities. Siiiiiiiick of it.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I've been pretty lucky, just an initial consult/group session, psych eval, pre-op testing and nutrition class. That's all my surgeon's office requires. I would be frustrated because of the commute, for sure!

I am sure you are sick of these appointments and the drive. The good news is you are so close! Almost there. Hang in there!

I, too, am very sick of all the appointments (and co-pays! ugh!)... and my trip is almost 2-hours each way... AND I don't have a date set yet. Sigh!

I've only been to the seminar and initial consult with the doctor. I live in western North Carolina and am hoping to be approved for the sleeve at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, Tennessee. It takes me a little over 2 hours to get there. Anybody familiar with this area and heard of a stretch of road called "The Dragon"? I have to travel that road to get to the hospital. I'm hoping to get some of my visits combined because of this road.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
