Wheetsin 714 Posted July 18, 2011 Texasmom - you can safely assume that 40% - 60% of the weight you lose up front (first 2 or 3 weeks) is Water weight and won't significantly impact your sizing. The remaining 60% - 40% will be mostly fat. SO your weight may need to be a bit lower than usual before you see your usual difference. Once fluids & things equalize, you'll see more of a true size difference.
Wheetsin 714 Posted July 18, 2011 BTW, I use "water weight" generically... other fluids are in that too.
Leslie 14 Posted July 18, 2011 Today is the best day I have had since surgery. I am still taking pain meds every 12 hours cause it gets pretty bad without them. I have been walking a lot, usually between 1-2 miles in divided doses. It feels like I should do more but I try to keep reminding myself that I just had surgery! Before surgery I was walking between 4-5 miles/day. I have my follow-up tomorrow morning. I am hoping that theywill release me to pureed foods. Although I am NOT hungry at all, I am tired of Clear liquids. Blessings, Leslie
