gentlespirit 1 Posted July 9, 2006 when they talk about PBs and sliming. I've been lucky...I'm 5 months out and htts is the first time it's happened. But I can tell you I'd prefer that it never happen again!!! All it took was not paying enough attention when I was eating, and... total misery! Fortunately it only lasted about 10 minutes and then I was feeling better. Does this mean I'm officially a bandster now?!! Emily
paula 4 Posted July 10, 2006 yep! Youre in the club now. Its kinda like a negative reinforcement to do the right thing while eating. Although its kinda late to tell you this now, but - after a 'PB' try sticking to liquids for a while. It gives our esophagus time to heal. Welcome to the PB club.:biggrin1:
Kathi 0 Posted July 10, 2006 It sure does remid you to eat properly, doesn't it???? Even though I try to eat perfectly every time, I still make mistakes then get that terrible reminder that I have a band.
juliegeraci 7 Posted July 11, 2006 I had my first episode yesterday. I too was wondering what it was all about. Now I know!
Carol Conley 0 Posted July 11, 2006 What is the difference between PBing and Sliming. I had my 2nd fill 6/5/06 and have had problems since then. It is not consistant though. It seems like I can tolerate some solid food after it gets cold. But then I will try it again and I don't vomit but "slimmy stuff" just keeps coming up. Is that sliming? It can last up to 45 minutes. I think PB means progressive burping and what I feel isn't a burp it is more like heaving. What is it that causes this to happen and what is it?
