Tippy2us 11 Posted July 12, 2011 When were you able to eat a scrambled egg? My instructions say pureed scrambled eggs starting the 5th week! And what the heck is a pureed egg? LOL Yuck Just curious....
2sweetnsugarland 9 Posted July 12, 2011 I ate a soft scrambled egg with a little bit of grits on week 4. I know I wasn't supposed to do it but it didn't bother me at all. I mixed some southwestern egg beaters and instant grits together in a blender, poured about a coffee cup full, sat the cup on my coffee cup warmer and ate about 1/2 of it in about an hours time. Hope this helps!! Good luck!
KathyM 14 Posted July 12, 2011 I was eating scrambled eggs by the 5th week. In fact, I still eat one almost every day. They are a good source of Protein and I have always found them easy to digest. One scrambled egg with a little salsa on it is my usual for Breakfast. I bought a tiny skillet and sometimes I will saute a few chopped up mushrooms and green peppers and make a one egg omelot too! kellyw74 258 Posted July 12, 2011 Week 4 was my soft food stage begining and I was able to have eggs. At first, I scrambeled one egg and put some cheese on it. One bite and it was not feeling good. It was like a brick in my throat. I quit and put it in the trash. About a week later, I made another without cheese and I was able to eat about 3 bites and was DONE!! Funny, how little we can eat! I use to eat like 5 eggs!! WOW Now, I am 9 weeks out and I can eat a whole scrambeled egg w/o cheese and about 3/4 with cheese. I love them but don't overcook them! Make them really soft and not rubbery. They will go down easier and feel better. Just when they first start to look done, shut them off. Kelly
JackieOMonroe 123 Posted July 16, 2011 I started eating scrambled eggs in week 4. They were odd for me at first, but now they're fine.
Nancy Rivers 24 Posted July 16, 2011 I'm 4 days post-op and can have pureed eggbeaters now. I had one earlier today - and well, I think it was a bit too soon. It didn't come back up, but after 3 bites I couldn't eat any more. I think I'll wait a few more days before I try it again.
Margaret 4 Posted July 16, 2011 My doctor approved my having one on day 6 and I ate a few bites and it was fine. I scrambled it like crazy but had no problems with it at all.
