GreenEyedMamma 5 Posted July 12, 2011 Make sure you have a good Protein shake in there. I used GNC's Optimum Nutrition's Double chocolate and vanilla Ice Cream flavors. I also had V8 juice, sugar-free pudding and sugar-free popsicles in addition to sugar-free Jello. I too drank chicken broth (low sodium) and drank a ton of Crystal Light. Warning - The first three days are ROUGH but something happens on day's 4 and 5 and things look up from there. Good luck to you and your journey. It is an AMAZING ride. kmmwil 0 Posted July 23, 2011 I wish I found this site 12 days ago. I have been on a liquid only diet for 12 days and have my surgery Monday. My Dr. has me on NO MEALS ! I have had three Protein Shakes a day and I cant even tell you how much Water, popsicles and broth thats it! I lost only 6 pounds but I am so hungry you would think I lost 20. I am beating myself up because I cheated the other day and had a salad, now im scared its going to screw me up. Anyway going to go shopping again tomorrow anyone have any qood clear Protein shakes they recomend for post op. I stocked up on broths and supplements like muscle milk, premium protein, glucerna and the ones from GNC. Also got myself the whey which I will be honest I can not even swallow...any ideas?
