I scramble an egg and it is super tiny. Maybe 5 bites. Is this right?

Yep. And I bet you will not be able to eat it all!!

I ate my first egg at 4 weeks out and could not finish it all! I was blown away that one egg was too much for me!! LOL I buy large eggs.

Now, I am 8 1/2 weeks out and can eat a whole scrambled egg most days if I don't put cheese on it, if I do put cheese on it, I can eat about 3/4 of it. I can however eat 1 1/2 boiled eggs. WEIRD!

I buy Large or Xtra Large eggs. How big bites are you taking? One suggestion someone on here had I read before my surgery that I found really helpful was to use childrens size cutlery. I used baby spoons and toddler forks, along with smaller plates. It makes you take smaller bites, which has really helped. If I eat too quickly, I would get really uncomfortable, plus I eat less using the smaller utensils.

I buy large eggs. I rarely, I mean like 2-3 times a year attempt scrambled eggs because those boogers still do not work well with my sleeve. I have to slather them in cheese to get down 1 whole large egg. I also use a hand mixer on high speed for 2 solid minutes to mix the eggs until they are super frothy/foamy before I scramble them.

I'm with Kelly, hard-boiled eggs, egg salad, baked eggs all work amazingly well. Scrambled eggs still to this very day sit like a brick in my stomach.

I buy medium eggs, and just got to the point where I can eat a whole one. This gives you room to make a vege omelet or accompany it with cottage cheese.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
