I'm in the teens..........

Recommended Posts

So I've been in the 220's for about 2 months now and I was 220 exactly for 1 month. I was getting frustrated because the scale wouldn't budge and all I wanted was to get in the teens. Well let me tell you all that yesterday morning when I weighed myself I was 213, I was so excited. Not only did I break into the teens I'm almost of out them already. I know I keep saying this but I love my sleeve with all my heart and without her none of this would have been possible.

Congrats!!!! I'm excited for you!!! I know what you mean because without Itty Bitty Belly I would never in a million grillion years be at the weight I am now!!!:D :D :D I normally weigh on Sunday mornings before I go to church [i figured that Sunday was the best day of all to weigh right?] but today I got impatient, mainly because the 4th had just passed and I ate a piece of cake and BBQ . . . but to my surprise I still lost 2 lbs!!! So trust me I know exactly how you feel! Keep up the good work and keep dropping those pounds!!! Honey you are going to be out of the teens before you can blink an eye!!! Take care!

That is awesome!! Congratulations! I completely understand, I have been at 203 for over a week now and it's driving me CRAZY!!! I just keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing and know that the scale WILL move, even if it takes a little while!! CONGRATS ON BREAKING YOUR STALL!!!

Congrats!! That is so great! I understand being frustrated about your weight not budging. I've been hovering for 2 weeks around 242 lbs and I have to get to 240 to get my appointment with a case manager to schedule my sugery. But I know it will happen. Your body sounds like mine, you plateau, then lose big chunks of weight! Again, Congrats to you, that's very exciting!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
