NewlifC 0 Posted July 7, 2011 ok, so here it goes. operation was done on Tuesday. It went well. When i woke up in my room, I had horrible horrible nausea, but managed to keep from vomiting. My nurses have been great. I am very happy with my care. I had the barium swallow study doneyesterday and began my fluids. I drank to fast and got nauseated agian, but still managed to keep from vomiting. I learned quick to keep those little measurng medicine cups to drink from so i am limiting myself from gulping. I have had to keep taking the Zofran and liquid Lortab, but i slept well last night and i now feel like my old self. I started walking 1hour after getting to my room. ihave walked, walked and then walked some more. i am hoping that i will begoing hom soon today. I am ready to begin my new life. I am pleased with my decision.
Penpen 28 Posted July 7, 2011 Congrats! Each day will get better. I'm 14 days post op and am finally starting to feel somewhat normal. Just keep sipping and walking even when you don't want to. You'll do good.
