Call me young & stupid then, this totally sounds like something we would have done when I was younger.

We have expaned in AB, and have a fine selection of malt liquor 40s. In my university days we used to call it (Big)Bear wrestling, since it was such a challenge to get the crap down.

I could never handle malt liquor, it is so gross, and gives me the worst drunk ever.

haha, I can imagine!

Dan told me it was quite an experience....the host drank his very quickly and, uh... 'retired' by 11pm. A couple co-workers ended up in the bathroom together, so that should make for some interesting office banter on Monday! HA! That stupid chick told me she has a boyfriend in Montreal that she's been with for 6 years!!! Nice.

So, I just back from one of the best movies I've seen in a LONG time! Children of Men! Who woulda known? I would have never gone if people didn't tell me it was really good. It didn't sound so great to me... the future, people can't have kids anymore... blah blah blah. Never saw any trailers... heard that it won a few awards, but that was it.

Well anyways... AMAZINGLY good. We're a little behind here... I think this was in most places a few weeks ago. If you haven't seen it, and still have a chance to, GO. At the very least, rent it. But it IS a theatre movie... you need the size and the sound. GO GO GO!

That's all. :)

Thanks for the tip...maybe I will go tonight. I haven't been to the movies for a few months because popcorn is (was) my favorite food and I did not want to torture myself. Maybe I will have a latte and see how it goes.

No I didn't find them.... I've given up. It's still creepy though.

So.... I am misssserable. I have been since Friday. I was so uncomfortable on Friday, with what I guess I could only say felt like stomach cramps. I really didn't have any work to do, so I asked to go home early, and I did. Drank tons of milk, a bit of ice cream and napped all day. Next day I fely horrible, and vomitted several times. I hadn't even dared to eat... it was all milk and Water. Then finally at night I managed a little bit of popcorn.< /p>

Sunday was not horrible... better than Saturday.

Then today, almost the same as friday! I didn't dare coffee this morning as I always do weekday mornings. Made some tea when I got to work, made me super uncomfortable, kind of stuck/PB-y... sipped water through the morning, nibbled on some pretzels, drank about a cup of chicken noodle at lunch, more water in the afternoon and at the gym, and now I don't know what to do for dinner. I've put myself on liquids for a while, but geesh... I don't know what to have. Liquids don't fill me up, and I'm hungry! (and they're not agreeing with me all that much either) I've had sooo much chicken noodle Soup lately, but I probably *could* have it again tonight if I have to.

I don't know what to do. I told myself today that if this keeps up all week I might just call that lady in NS and see if she can do a tiny unfill. But DAMN... I don't want to do that! Cross your fingers for me that I feel back to normal soon!

I hate to say that it would almost be not so terrible if I was actually losing some lbs, but I'm not! I think I'll be lucky if I'm down 0.4 on weigh-in day.

Argon, hope you are going to tolerate more/better food soon. Just think of Optifast and you really will upchuck. I cannot imagine what it must be like to have food do that to you - especially cheese! Love cheese (better as a pizza topping). Maybe your fill is just too new. Not that I know anything about that yet. My heart is with you and hope this is a short-lived phase for you. You know, I keep looking at the amount of weight you have lost and am awed and amazed. Keep it up - you should be so proud of yourself.:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
