Ok guys, saying my goodbye!

I'm leavin' tomorrow morning. I'm sure I'll be on here off and on while I'm home... but probably not NEARLY as much as I want!

I hope you all have a great Christmas, and an awesome New Year's in case I don't get the chance to say it before.

See you guys, and thanks for everything!

:)

Hi guys!

Well.... my parents were pleasantly surprised, I think. Everytime my mom sees me in a new outfit she goes on and on about how skinny I am! Yesterday my grandparents came down for lunch, and were also surprised. My grandma thinks even if I didn't lose anymore weight, I'd be perfect, so that's nice.

My best friend, or old bestfriend is coming over in an hour or so, to say hi. I haven't seen her in about a year. She knows I've lost 'some' weight (not about the surg). I'm hoping to get a good reaction outta her! And then there's another friend who's in town that I'm gonna see soon. She's the one I'd go to the bar with, IF we go to the bar. It doesn't sound too promising. Oh well... if nothing else, I'll just have more time to get looking even better and wow em' next time. Who know's if jerkface is even here this Chritsmas.

My Christmas present from myparents was clothes. The day after they picked me up from the airport, we went out and did some shopping. I got a couple pair of pants, a few shirts, some pj pants, and a cool jacket. The pants were 14's and 16's! The 14's can definitely be grown into (or whatever I should call it when they're a tad too tight, but I can wear 'em for a while and have them look good until they just get too big!)

I'll talk to ya all later!

Just realized my ticker is NOT accurate! That's cause I weighed myself on an off day, I guess.. I won't be doing it again until I get back, so... guess I'll hold onto this one for a while. I was thinking I would be lucky if I didn't GAIN during this week, but I damn well better lose, for how much I'm not eating! Not stopping myself, just not really wanting to, all that much.

So, I got a "Oh my god!" from friend #1, and a "where did the rest of you go!?" from her boyfriend. Then a "Oh my god, you look amazing!" from friend #2, whom I went out for coffee with.

Guess WHAT! We ARE going out for a couple drinks tonight. I shall report if anything exciting happens! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
