Glad you enjoyed your trip Mandi, but sorry about the upset tummy, mushrooms is another food i discovered i can not eat, that is why i stay away from salads.

Hope you are feeling better soon, looking forward to seeing your weight loss.

Mandi, Glad you had a good trip, sorry about the stomach thing. I'm confused about this whole band thing. It sounds like you are hardly getting any nutrients in, but I know what you mean about regretting an unfill because things could be different tomorrow.

Raspberry cheese crepe, eh. Mmmmmmmm. Green is in lurv!

Speaking seriously, I am glad that you got to go to Halifax. I was there briefly last August for my nephew's wedding. What a pretty city! We were intending to spend a whole week but the folks at my mate's work got nasty with him. Still, we really liked what we did get to see of Halifax and the surrounding area. We actually did manage to see Peggy's Cove but it was pouring rain that day. It was worth the visit even though we were cold and wet.

I loved seeing your photographs.

Thanks for the update Mandi....glad u had a good time but yeah...that sucks about being so tight!! Holy crap.....what was up with that!!! Yes, you will have lost lots this week....but I worry about the way you are losing it!!! Stay healthy! (but I know it will feel like it was worth it when you see the numbers! LOL).

I have a prob with mushrooms too (cooked and uncooked)....so avoiding them for a bit myself.

Mandi....remember how you were really tight after your fill.....it did go away though, right? I mean, you haven't been eating like this since then have you? In other words, you did eventually get back to "normal" right? This situation on the trip was just an anomaly?

Oh, yes, yes... this was an anomaly! It's never like that. I feel normal now, but I'm not gonna try eating something real for a little while longer. I'm still craving chicken noodle (lipton), so I'm having that again for dinner!

Don't worry guys, I KNOW I couldn't live eating that little (mentally as well)... the couple weeks after my fill was bad, but not even the same as this weekend. And I definitely wouldn't tell you about this specific time if it was something ordinary for me! I'm amazed I could function those days.

And I am FOR SURE taking my Vitamins now. I've brought them to work, so they're there sitting in front of me all day, so I have several opportunities to take them during the day.

Yeah, I think mushrooms might not be a good idea anymore. I've eaten them before without any problems, and I know anything I would have eaten that night would have done the same. At least they were veggies, even if they were deep fried! :omg:

Oh, and Wheezy... you've gotta have a resizing option in one of those programs. If you can't find it, try looking in the "help" in that program, and typing in 'resize'... see if that gives you anything. Do you have Photoshop? That, I would know how to resize things in.

:)

Glad it was only an anomaly Mandi!!!

BTW, how does your cousin know that he/she is going to be on the show if applications aren't due until 17th and auditions aren't until Dec??? Hmmmm?????

Hmmm... good question. I'm not sure. Maybe they start selecting people right away? I dunno... this is 2nd hand news, from my mom, from my grandma. I bet my cousin applied, had an interview, and is in the 'pool' of possible contestants. (from what I understand, that's how it goes).

Thanks for ruining it, Yoda. :)

LOL just kidding

LOL ...No problem!!

Seriously though, the earliest auditions aren't until 27 Nov (Vancouver) and they continue across the country with the last ones being I believe on 10 Dec (out East)....so...ummmmm....auditions haven't even begun yet, so I highly doubt anyone has been selected for the contestant pool!!!

OK girls get along!!!! Yoda are you really calling Mandi's Gramma a liar?

Someone I work with told me her friend was going to be on Deal or no Deal, must be a common thing that people think that.

Yoda: :peep:

Wheezy:

LOL

Anyways, it wasn't the AMAZING news I was hoping for, but it's still awesome. 201 this morning. I saw a glimpse of my future in the 100's, the other day, and jumped the gun. Perhaps I'll be smart and stay off the scale til NEXT wed.

Ehh.... who am I kidding? I've got no self control. :|

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
