I can't help ya much Mandi because it has been a long time since I shopped in a "normo" store.

I know Old Navy goes up to size 20 in pants! Yay....

If I recall....I agree with Green...most stores go to 16; with some going to 18.

Yeah, I'm excited to be able to buy Old Navy pants! Woo! I'll hold off on the 'normo' stores until I'm postive that I'll fit that stuff.

Whoah, you just blew my mind... 15!? LOL Just kidding, I did actually have some size 25 jeans, from Walmart, I think. I've noticed they have weird sizes like that.. odd numbers, why's that?

I believe the odd sizes (7,11,13,15) are junior and the even sizes (8,10,12,14) are misses or something like that

I just find that the odd size clothes, especially at Wal-mart are a smaller fit.

It's just a number, it's just a number, it's just a number, it's just a number....

Buuutttt... if a 25 is a smaller fit than a 26, why isn't it a 24? BAH! I don't care... it's ok. I was just wondering what sizes normal stores have, and now I know :girl_hug: Thank you

My mother once explained to me the difference between the odd numbers and the even numbers but I forgot. I think the odds might be for shorter waisted women but I am not sure. :help: Anyone else got any info?

I think clothing manufactuers just put any number on the clothes.

Clothing maker person picks up dress "HMMM this looks like a 14"

picks up same size "hmmm this looks like a sixteen" etc.

That must be how they do it. It is the only thing that makes sense!!!!!LOL

Mandi, do not go shopping at Le Château. My niece who is a size 0 can shop at Le Château. That's considered, according to her, a Junior store, so the sizes are a lot smaller. At one time, I could fit in a size 12 at Sears but at Le Château I could not put one leg in a size 12. Beware!!!

Hmm.. I've heard that too. I'm scared of the girls/staff at Le Chateau, so I probably wouldn't anyways. I'm scared of most of those stores. I dared to go into one a couple weeks ago, and I was so nervous. I was just waiting for them to give me "Yeah right" looks, etc.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
