JourneyOfAFatKid 6 Posted July 6, 2011 So the thought that this is actually surgery and not something that I should be taking lightly is starting to settle in. I was reading a thread awhile back and some lady had started talking about saying her "i love you"s to her family before she got put to sleep for her surgery. That got me thinking about my daughter... Im 24 years old with a 2 year old daughter. What if this is the last time I saw her? Being a young mother has matured me faster than I would like to admit, and the thought that surgery is very serious keeps creeping into my mind. Does anyone else thing about these things? Someone please calm my nerves!!! Thanks, Caitlyn
wishes 125 Posted July 6, 2011 Yeah, just a couple of days ago, maybe a week.... Someone posted that a 34 year old woman died from an artery being nicked during surgery. That really hit home with me as that can happen to any surgeon or any patient. I am not scared of complications or life afterward. I am a survivor. I will work with whatever life throws at me. However, I can't fight death. I am scared of dying more than anything else, but my quality of life will only decrease. I do not want to be a living vegetable, so I am going to take the chance and trust in my surgeon. But Ktkx, I can't even imagine it from your perspective. Mine is all shoulda, woulda, coulda's.... Yours is your beautiful little girl.
