I need help! A few months ago (May?) you edited 2 pics of mine to compare a 10 pound weight difference. In one I was wearing an orange t-shirt and brown cargo pants. The other I wore brown trousers and a funky blue shirt. You put them side-by side for me somewhere! Do you remember what thread? Oy vey, I have pics all over this board and I want to get them all into my NSV thread, orhterwise known as my journal! LOL

Anyhow, if you can remember, I'd be grateful. I want to C&V, if I can remember how, since you got them side by side and smaller. Thanks!!!!!!

P'nut? Beuller? Anyone? Anyone?

Gollum rocks. glad i now know where the av has originated from. Still trying to find the source of Telly's av. LOL Nut, I have a solution for your weight gain. Switch to scotch! It gets the job done in a lot fewer calories  Although it is not as fun to sit and sip it on that new porch.

I hear there are rumors going around about me. Well, I'm here to put everyone's mind at ease. They are all true. I left Dawg for a woman I met online, he threw himself off the Golgen Gate bridge (they're still looking for his body.. he got so thin! *wrinkles her nose), my net woman left me so I'm living with Funny and her husband (who is VERY HOT *wink*wink*). Florida is nice, having a great time, wish you were here.

PS - Party on Wayne!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
