ashleyc 10 Posted July 5, 2011 Aunt Flo decided to drop in for an unannounced visit and I am having surgery on FRIDAY!!! Can I still have surgery while TOM is around?? What should I do????
kellyw74 258 Posted July 5, 2011 NO PROBLEM!! My surgeon said the only problem was you could not wear tampons! They will give you these granny panty's to wear that have pads built in and you are good to go!! How cute!! I am sure all hospitals are the same! Good luck with your surgery!! ashleyc 10 Posted July 5, 2011 Thanks Kelly!! I was totally freaking out!!
Tiffykins 673 Posted July 5, 2011 Not a problem. Happened to me, it's no biggie as it happens all the time for the medical teams. Just tell your prep nurse, and your surgeon. You'll get these fashionable stretchy, netty type panties to wear, no tampons, take extra pads.

Sarah E. S. 6 Posted July 6, 2011 oh yeah, Aunt flo likes to come and freak everyone out before their surgery! Something I've heard alot about is that Surgery makes your Cycle come on... Not exactly the funnest way to go ( Who wants to change dressings in TWO places) But totally ok! Good luck hon!!
