Nausea finally gone, bowels are moving. Its funny to hear the new sounds as liquid goes down to the new stomach. I feel better, guess the 3rd day really is the worse as they say.

I had cream of wheat with splenda and fat free milk, non fat yogurt and a sugar free fudgesickle. No pain and my pain pump was finally empty, that was annoying to carry around but for a good cause.

Been drinking fruit punch crystal lite as well, Vitamins start tomorrow.

I am a bit moody though. I am thinking our hormones are going crazy.

Every day gets better & better. Cream of wheat w splenda was my go to Breakfast for the first few weeks - loved the plainesss & consistency. Be aware of the hormones though - I was a nut job for the first month.:-) BTW - best screen name ever!

Please trust you will get better each day. You are absolutely correct on the hormone aspect. Your hormones are racing and you may find your self irriatble or lashing out at someone that normally would be totally out of character. Its the hormones! On a good note, they do calm down after a bit... At my 2 week check up I talked about this topic with my doctor cause I would get angry at something so little or stupid, and my doc said it was perfectly normally and could last up to 3 months, they your hormones/body will adjust.

good luck...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
