how do you know if you have had to much or you could eat more. i don't have any triggers for being full so when you eat what does it feel like and how do you know if you have pushed it to far. how could you cause a leak and how do you stretch it?

What food stage are you? If you are not eating solids yet you probably won't get a feeling of fullness. I suggest you measure your food--start with 2 Tablespoons for now if you are on mushies/soft. Eat about six times a day. Wait after eating to drink.

You would have to grossly diverge from your surgeon's instructions to cause a leak. Your stomach will feel bigger in a few months after the swelling has gone down. It might stretch a little but not very much, certainly not anywhere near the size it used to be.

when i was on liquids, i just drank whenever. on full liquids i did the same and i never felt restriction. when i went to pureed foods, i felt funny after a few bites, but don't think i was "full", i was just paranoid about getting too full and trowing up so when i would get a werid feeling, i would stop!

now, i am on soft foods, i am allowed 1/2 c three times a day and i NEVER eat it all. i eat all Protein at this point and i usually start to gurlgle when i start to get full. I have not got that FULL feeling and tightness in my chest that others feel and I have not thrown up, but when I start to gurlgle, like a drain, i stop! i definatley undereat my sleeve, but i am ok with that.

The over full feeling comes when you get the tightness in the chest. It hurts, not severe but hurts. The full feeling it self is just like before you feel "full" and know you should stop. Thats how I guage it. If you push it to the tightness and beyond you will throw up. Keep it under that and you wont :)
