I'm so annoyed! I gained 3lbs! I know it's rebound from being sick (kidney infection) But it's really disheartening to see :-(

So back to the grind charting food (just in case I'm screwing myself somewhere along the line!) thinking about cutting all non-produce carbs, I have my 12wk followup in 10 days hoping to be back on track and losing well again.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. . and yes it is very annoying. . . I've been at the same weight give or take 5 lbs for the past 6 months. . . but i look at it this way, at least you've lost weight and your 1/2 way there. . . that's more then you could have said about yourself a year ago. . . good for you and keep up the great work. . . yes cut out some carbs, increase the Proteins, and Water intake and see what happens. . . I'm not a preacher about exercise but if you do that . . . THEN GOOD FOR YOU. . . Its better then what i do :)

Good luck!!!

It's probably just Water weight apple :) You will be fine, there is no way that you gained 3lbs of fat you just aren't taking in enough calories for that. On my 1 month post op weigh in (been in a stall too) says I gained 3lbs and I put it on my status because I have to be honest with myself but 4 days later and 2 of those three are gone. Like TOD says you have accomplished so much don't beat yourself up. Glad you are feeling better.

I hope your completely over your illness and are feeling better :)

I'm at the same place with my weight and I've been at a stand still for the past couple weeks.

I'm not going to let it get me down, and don't you let it get you down.

We are going to do this, and nothing is going to stop us!

Apple, I'm glad you're recovering from your kidney infection. That's a lot for your body. I bet as your energy climbs and your body heals it will start cooperating on the other front! I know people here gave you some good tips. Hang in there. You'll do it!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
