I can actually tolerate the Protein Shakes okay but I am just sick of them. I am still on liquids (til July 5) so I drink one 20 oz bottle of no carb Isopure at has 40 gr Protein. I like it better really cold over ice. Then I will either have a shake or another 10-15 oz of Isopure to get to 60+ gr Protein.

I can't wait til mushies so I don't have to depend on protein drinks!

Good luck to you!

The best Protein Drink I use in Isopure PLUS. I ordered two cases from Amazon (I live in the middle of nowhere). It comes in an alpine punch flavor and a grape frost flavor. Both are "lightly" flavored - not strong like some of the fruit flavored Protein Drinks. 8 oz has 15 grams of Protein. I use them now if I realize I haven't gotten enough Protein in towards the end of the day.

Early on, I also mixed unflavored protein in sugar free fat free pudding (I'm not too terribly lactose intolerant).

I use nectar brand Protein Powder in either vanilla Bean torte or Fuzzy Navel to make fruit smoothies for Breakfast. A little bit of fruit, the protein powder, some crushed ice and Water. Throw it into the magic bullet and in a nanosecond or two you have a shake. I ordered these online -from unjury site.

The best milky-type Protein Drink (premixed) is Myoplex. The chocolate and the vanilla are both good. You can find it lots of places - I get mine at Walmart - (WM even has a store in the middle of nowhere). I use these if I don't have time to whip up the smoothie, or if I need to take a meal with me. I have to put protein in my stomach every 4-5 hours, so this is a good way to do that.

Hopes this helps. Good Luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
