notsochubbybritneyspears 4 Posted June 28, 2011 I have to say I cheated a lot on Optifast -- jealous of the other people who can have a meal with their diets before surgery. I am being good the last few days here as much as I can, but I really want a chipotle burrito. Does the liver really shrink that drastically? As much money as this costs 300 bucks for two weeks, I wonder how much of a kickback the doctors office gets. I am excited and nervous for surgery later this week. Just-A-Gem 86 Posted June 29, 2011 I've not heard too many people be put on Optifast pre-sleeve, but you are probably right if you bought it through his office he made something off it. Back away from the burrito. It's just not worth it.
iegal 460 Posted June 29, 2011 Ha ha...are you trying to justify your cheating by questioning kickbacks? Ah, we do get emotional before surgery. Yes, liver really does shrink and the more you weigh the more you really needed to stick to preop diet. Farry liver can cause for a longer surgery since your surgeon does not want to lacerate your liver. Diet was also to help you learn new patterns for post op. Good luck...and stick to the diet. You can do this!
notsochubbybritneyspears 4 Posted June 29, 2011 lol no I am not trying to justify my cheating on kickbacks. I have read other pre op diets used by others on here that made a bit more sense and seemed more realistic and less yucky then Optifast.< /p>
