LisaM 3 Posted June 28, 2011 I'm nervous - I have my psychologist appointment on Thursday and I'm still have between 3-5 pounds to meet my goal weight, depending on when I weigh myself and what I'm wearing. I thought I read somewhere if I'm with 5 lbs of goal weight, I would still get my surgery scheduled. Does anybody know? Thanks.
lsereno 2,525 Posted June 29, 2011 If you don't get a reply here, try the Yahoo Group for Nor Cal Kaiser Bariatrics: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients/ I don't have an answer for you because I went through Kaiser Fremont. Each bariatric program has its own standards. Lynda
Bandme1 12 Posted June 29, 2011 Hey, Lisa! I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have a good feeling they will see how much you've lost so far and be happy with the amount and put you through. You can just promise them that you'll be at goal weight by your next appointment. lol. 2 more days!!!! YAY!!

LisaM 3 Posted July 2, 2011 The answer for anybody who reads this topic is no. You don't get to meet the case manager until you hit your goal weight. I'm very close...
Ovalecutie 2 Posted July 9, 2011 Also.....you cannot go over your "surgery goal weight" even if you are 1/2 pound over on your surgery day, you WILL be rescheduled. Good luck!! You will be there in no time at all! BTW, I see that you got below your goal, so if you go to your PCP, and get weighed, they can email Richmond and verify so you can get your appt with the case manger.
