MrD 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Hi, went to the seminar at Northwest Weight Loss surgery tonight and if I had any doubts they are gone, but have to admit I am nervous about making the big decision to have this done. Just waiting for final word on home refi and then away I go. I'm Dennis, from Port Orchard. Just want to say hello. The people at NWWL were so nice, and the banded folks who got up really were nice to share there stories. So, hello and hope it will be soon :nervous
Mvpo8961 1 Posted July 7, 2006 Hi Dennis congratulations on your life changing decision. Indecision and jitters are a common occurrence when going into banding. I personally felt that way for a week or two after banding. But I knew that I had to do something and this just made sense. I am early still in my journey. Six weeks postop now. But I am so glad I have done this. Not only has it helped me but it has inspired my family to seek better health. Let us know when you have a surgery date and how everything goes. I watched DH(He was banded by Dr. Montgomery from NWWLS 2 years ago) before I decided I was ready. And I still have some doubts, because I know my experience may not be like his. I did finally realize that I knew where my life was headed if I didn't do anything. I agree, the people at NWWLS are wonderful. I like the after-care they've done with DH, and how they are always there to answer questions.
MrD 0 Posted July 8, 2006 Thanks for the replies. I got an email from the bank and she is still waiting to here something. I was thinking today about the freakout period. That time when you go "what have I done?!" I did that when I quit drinking and drugging years ago, sure glad I did though
