PhillyGirl_13 0 Posted June 28, 2011 I began my journey back in August 2010 when I began all of my testing. I had my surgery in December 2010. It was a very hard decision for me. I thought about weight loss surgery for over two years but really did not want to have gastric bypass. When they started talking about gastric sleeve as a weight loss surgery by itself I thought maybe this is for me. When I met with the surgeon and he thought it was a good fit for me I thought this is it. Well here I am six months later and I'm down 122 pounds! I cannot believe it. Even my surgeon cannot believe it. I see the world in a whole new way. My life is not run by food anymore. I'm not going to lie and say there aren't days when it is hard because there are days when it is hard but I do not regret my decision in anyway. The only regret I have is not having surgery sooner.
