I had my surgery on friday 06/24 - I came home from the hospital yesterday and having the hardest time getting in my fluids. I have some Isopure drinks - but they are too sweet. It seems all i can get down is warm broth and warm apple juice, hopfully it will only be like this for a few weeks - do you think this is ok?

Not only OK but quite normal for a majority of sleevers, I know I had a hell of a time getting anything down. Since you have plenty of fat stores to use up just concentrate on getting liquids down your gullet. You can have a LOT of problems in a very short time by not having enough liquids - kidney stones, thickened blood to name two. You will be OK for weeks if not months not getting enough Protein, and while it may not feel like it now, it WILL get better.

You really should not focus on anything but staying hydrated at this point! It is hard enough to get liquids in, let alone to try and get Proteins in too!

SIP SIP SIP and that is it! I didn't even worry about proteins until I was able to eat solid foods at 4 weeks out and I am fine! You will be too.

Kelly :)

Drink your liquids for now. The Protein can wait a little.

Definitely liquids. Think of it this way. People have gone 70+ days without food and survived. You're going to go a week or so, max, without Water.< /p>
