How soon can you drive?

Recommended Posts

Hi, everyone. I am being banded on Monday and my kids will have schedules to keep later in the week. I am wondering how long it usually takes to feel comfortable doing short errands.

Thanks,

Mary (Ruby Band)

Good luck Mary,

I'm being done on Monday as well in Mexico. I wish you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Hugs,

Sherri

I was driving about 4 days after surgery. Probably could have in 3, but why push it? Remember, each person is different, so judge for yourself.

I didn't drive home after the surgery, but I did go out later to get my pain meds and didn't have a problem. Yes, I was in pain, but it was no different than driving with a stomachache or a headache.

My doctor didn't allow me to drive for 2 weeks. I must admit I could have driven after a week but my seat belt would have killed me rubbing my incisions. I wish you the best with your surgery. You'll do just fine.

I "could" and did drive about 3 days after surgery. But I wasn't really "comfortable" driving until about 7 days. Short trips were okay (grocery store, pharmacy, school, etc) but driving out and about for the heck of it was out of the question until about 10 days after surgery.

You are safe to drive as soon as you are out from under the influence of the anesthesia and pain meds. Everything else is just comfort.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
