Amusement Park 2 months after surgery..

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! I'm getting sleeved on 7/5 and before I even got my date we (hubby & I) promised our 9 yr old that for her Birthday we would take her to Cedar Pointe during the Halloween Weekend thingy in September... We're leaning towards later September, so I'll be more like 2 1/2 months out.. do you think I could ride roller coasters with her for her first time? She's always been too short in the past and I believe she'll finally meet the height requirements for the big ones, like the Magnum... I REALLY wanna do that with her, but I also don't wanna hurt my stomach either... I haven't had a chance to ask the doctor about this yet, but I thought I'd get your expert options first.... since it's now 1 am and I seem to be obsessing over it!

Thanks!

Wendy

I went to Legoland at about 4 weeks out...didnt ride to many rides but walked like 4-5 miles. I think I would have felt up to riding rides but I just hung out with baby girl. I think you will be fine to ride rides. Take good care of your self in the begining and follow ALL of the Dr's orders.

I would think you'd be fine, but that is definately a question for your surgeon. You really don't want damage that far out!!

I just got back from spending a week at Disneyland/California Adventure. I was 10 weeks post surgery when we left. My first victory was being able to sit comfortably in the airplane seats without an extender. I went on all the thrill rides without any discomfort. I had asked my surgeon at my 2 week post appointment and he said no problem. I wasn't able to eat my 70 grams of Protein or drink 64 oz of Water each day, but I did my best. I did have a few bites of holiday food here and there - 1/4 of a corn dog, bbq ribs, cheeseburger without bun, vodoo shrimp, one bite of a cupcake. Some of it didn't feel so good in my stomach for a while, but I kept it all down!

Have fun on your trip.

Marie

Hi Wendy, well it really depends on how much weight you have to lose and what their limits are in order to get onto a roller coaster. Good luck to you and let us know

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
