How long?

I am a pediatric Dental Assistant. I am planning to be out of work for 18 days. Is this enough time off? I am up and down from a chair. no lifting ,1 day a week on my feet. Only a four day week. I am just wanting to make sure my time off is adequate! Thanks for any input!

That should be MORE than enough time if you don't have any complications. I have an office job and went back to work in 7days. I was tired, but fine!

My surgeon said he releases people to go back to work after 7 days, with the caveat that there is no heavy lifting. I'm a nursing student and was concerned about being able to do my clinical hours about 2.5-3 weeks out and he said as long as I'm not trying to lift patients, I'll be fine.
