I am currently 3 months out from surgery and went to see my NUT and she freaked out on me that I wasn't eating enough! I was eating between 600-800 calories per day and low carb.

She upped my calories to 1200-1500 calories per day, 180 grams of carbs max and 80 grams of Protein.< /p>

Doesn't this sound weird for me having had the sleeve performed?

I still only get in around 1000 calories max but I'm scared that I am eating too much and because I'm not losing anything!

Does the nut normally work with WLS patients? I'm not at that stage yet but thought during the losing phase most folks are told to keep it around 800 calories. And 180g of carbs seems really high!

180 g of carbs is sky high! My doc wants me to keep mine under 40 g. Protein is at least 60 g. he doesnt give me calories.

I agree with the others. Those numbers seem far off from what my doc recommends. I am supposed to be eating form 600-900 C. and 40g of carbs or less. I'd say if you feel fine, keep doing what you've been doing.

I don't think the calorie count is high but 180G of carbs is ridiculous. A 60-80 g of Protein daily is really good. 1 cup of cooked Penne past is 63g of carbs. you would have to eat 3 cups in a day. the average slice of bread is between 14 and 21g of carbs, 12 oz can of coca cola classic, 39g. I think she is a little off base.

I am going to aim for 1000-1200 calories per day instead of the 1200-1500 but I am going to cut the carbs down to no more than 60 grams per day. 180 grams of carbs per day is ridiculous and I think all the extra carbs are what is making not lose anything right now.

I've been stuck between 215-217 for the past 2 weeks and I just want to move past that already!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
