Well I have one heck of a week I am so glad it is over. Last week I was craving some watermelon. I am on the mushie stage. So I got some seedless watermelon puree it in the blender. Well it went down fine and it everything was okay. On Monday I started to get a bad stomach ache everytime I drank or ate something. Well on Tuesday it got worse, I ate Breakfast and after that it went downhill. The pain and vomiting was bad. I so afraid I might have a leak or ucler. So on Wednesday I went to emergency room and they did tests and blood work. I was concerned about a leak and the surgeon said at seven weeks the staple line is healed. So that was sigh of relief. Well what happen was something got stuck in the opening of stomach to the colon which casue some inflamation which was causing the pain and naueous. So they gave me some medicine and things are getting better. Now I can keep things down. In the process of thinking watermelon was the only I have eaten that different in my diet. So sleevers becareful of those seeds if accidently swollen them by mistake. It will be awhile for I eat watermelon again. So I am taking things very slow. I am eating about 2 oz. right now that is all my sleeve can take. I hope this issue helps someone realize how sensitive your sleeve can be. Well enough of my rambling.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post about what happened to you! It's a good warning for everyone out there to know that even the smallest things may not be small enough and to be diligent in the chew chew chewing and of course, not to swallow foreign objects lol

All kidding aside, I'm so glad you're feeling better!

xoxo's, Renee`

I had an egg for the first time and lost it! Back to shakes for me, maybe I need more healing time before moving on? First time I've been sick. Day 17

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
