shordee0751 0 Posted June 24, 2011 Hi all, I have been on my pre op diet since Monday and was wondering if chewable Calcium Vitamins are okay? I popped one in my mouth tonight and my hubby looked at me like I was crazy cause I was chewing. I didn't really think about it not being liquid. I have also been swallowing a multi Vitamin this week as well. Thanks!
Band Be Gone 0 Posted June 24, 2011 Don't worry about chewing at this point in time, it's about caloric intake to shrink the liver and the fat around where the doctor has to work. My pre op consists of actual meals, Snacks & liquids which are from the doctor's office. They have the right amount of Protein, carbs and fat and a daily plan is about 800-900 calories per day. They gave me chewable vitamins also. You'll be just fine. When I had my lap band surgery, it was all liquid. I've experienced both. Good luck on your pre op and ultimately your surgery.
