Paid Bariatric Surgery Patient Study ($650)

EMS/M3 Global Research is currently conducting a study to refine ideas for the design of a nutrition program/system for bariatric patients.

· We are looking for patients that recently (past 8 months) had bariatric surgery and live in the Boston, MA area to participate in an in-depth study.

· As a small thank you we are offering each participant up to $650 for their time.

· The program we are developing will include an education and tracking system focused on hydration and proteins; there are no clinical interventions involved.

If you are interested or would like more information please contact us ASAP on 877 311 5992 (free number) or send an email to jana.rueten@ems.eu.com.

Many thanks in advance!

It costs money to participate in research?! Who is the research for? Or is that, like most places, what you pay the patient?

Of course you don't have to pay in order to take part in the study. We will pay every participant $650 as a small thank you. Let me know if that sounds like something you might be interested in.

Details of the study:

We are interested in talking with patients who have recently had bariatric surgery and who would be willing to participate in a 4-week study to give their feedback on the tools we are developing. We will be asking each participant to try these tools for 4 weeks. During the first week, we would ask each person to come to our office in West Newton, MA for 1 hour to enroll in the study and learn about the materials.

We would then contact participants weekly through a short web survey, phone call, and email or text message to check in with them about how they’re doing and what the experience of using the materials is like for them. We expect that it will take participants about 1 hour per week to complete these activities. They will also spend some additional time using the materials on their own. During the final week, we will schedule an in-person interview in participant’s homes to get feedback on their overall experience with the program. This interview would take about 2.5 hours.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
