nolagirl2 0 Posted July 6, 2006 Since banding 5/2/06, I have lost 25.875 inches (I think, I may measure incorrectly), 5.5 in the last month. That, and I need to stop weighing daily!

juliegeraci 7 Posted July 6, 2006 You are doing wonderfully. Sometimes we forget that losing inches count as much if not more than losing on the scale. In your situation you have done fabulous at both. Congrats.

I am so proud of you.</td></tr><tr unselectable="on" hb_tag="1"><td style="font-size: 1pt;" unselectable="on" height="1"></td></tr></tbody></table> Cynthia, I am soooooooooooooooo proud of you. Look at it this way: I (unbanded) lost 18 lbs. in 6 months... You, unbanded, have lost 40-50 lbs. (Don't remember exact #). I know you are going through a tough time, but you need to remember all your accomplishments. Maybe you should make a little "cynthia rocks" bulletin board. Put up index cards of your highest and current weight, along with pictures of each. Also maybe add in some inspirational thoughts (even just your own creations... like write down how you feel after a workout (i always feel invigorated and excited) so you remember how good exercise feels... or write down your losses from the beginning, so you remember how great it felt to get on the scale after a low-carb low-fat day with exercise and tons of Water, to see the weight had dropped!) I know you are going through lots w/ your band, but I really want to see you start commending yourself for all your hard work, and recognizing yourself for it. Also, there's a forum on here, life after lap-band removal, some users use zetacap or hoodia for an appetite suppresant. Maybe you could use something until you get (hopefully) re-banded, so you don't get off track. Remember every pound lost or maintained is a pound you DIDN'T gain. You are awesome, hon. Make sure you remind yourself of that. xoxoc
