Tamz 8 Posted June 19, 2011 I just realized in my paperwork.. that I go from the 5 wks of full liquids stage to solid food. There is no mushie/puree stage! WOOOO HOOOOOO of course it says to eat tender things, chew 230942304 times, no steak yet etc etc.. BUT IM EXCITED. YESSSSSSSSSSSS I guess I can live thru 4 more wks of full liquids
NewBeginnings 2 Posted June 19, 2011 I am surprised you are on full liquids for so long. I would include a soft and mushy stage just to be safe. While you think you might be ready to move on your stomach may not. I just realized in my paperwork.. that I go from the 5 wks of full liquids stage to solid food. There is no mushie/puree stage! Tiffykins 673 Posted June 19, 2011 I was only prescribed to stay on full liquids for a week, mushy/puree/soft solids for 2 weeks and progress to solid foods as tolerated. Least to say, it took over 3 months for solid foods to be tolerable. You might find that even the most mushed up, chewed to cardboard tasting foods just don't work that soon. Of course, we'll all cheer for you if you can eat 3oz of chicken that early, but typically that's not the case.

Like baked Beans, chicken salad, mashed potatoes etc... I am going to be thrilled with just that! The chicken can wait lol

The chicken can wait lol I don't blame ya one bit. Those are all mushy/pureed by my guideline so I think you'll do great. Don't forget egg salad, and Greek yogurt YUM ! ! ! Chicken still sucks for me at 2 years out compared to red meats. Scallops and shrimp are both really good Protein soft Proteins that will help you not live on Protein Drinks for months on end.
