Tomatoes on Full liquid?

Recommended Posts

I craved it, made it as "full liquidy" as I could possibly make it and took about an hour to drink it. It was wonderful! Now, however I will be able to wait another week until I am pureed foods. That is where my salad drink probably should be. You are right--it was a healthy drink!

Thanks for your input.

Valentina

My doc has one of the more stringent postop diets I have read - three weeks of thin liquids, another three weeks of full and a slow transition to pureed during that time. Six weeks before any solid food. But even in the thin liquid stage he allows V8 juice thinned with 30% Water. Getting Protein in is important, but it is not the only thing that is important - I think it was a healthy thing to drink.

How soon could you have Tomato Soup? My diet says I can only have broth. I'd love Tomato Soup.< /p>

I was only on clears the day before, of, and after surgery, so I went home on full liquids. I think I had tomato soup probably on about day 3 or so?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
