I have had the Shirataki noodles and yah they are kind of like rubber and if you do not wash them really well they will have a off putting odor. I could not stand them due to the texture. Glad I only bought a small package to try at first. I for one will not buy them again.

...rubber bands with a little old socks thrown in! But all in all, rinsed well and dosed with a good Tomato sauce and a little lemon and cheese, not too bad. I wouldn't cook them for toooo long.... I also read somewhere that they are not good for WLS patients... they get stuck? I have not tried them on my new stomach, so I don't know, just passing on what I read.
