Wanted to share.....

1. The Funnyduddy Soup is awesome! If you haven't tried it then you are missing out if you are a Soup fan. Check the food Forum for more information. :hungry: :clap2:

2. Crystal Light (actually bought the Wal Mart brand) is also awesome! No calories...and it tastes great! I've been looking for something to replace my Diet Pepsi habit and I just did. :clap2:

That is all.

It actually has 5 calories per serving. Not a dealbreaker, but still :(

I get the Wal Mart Grape Crystal Light and use one little container of powder to make a gallon! It's so strong in a 2-quart pitcher, so I grab a jug of Water and refill it as needed. I also like the Peach and Raspberry Tea flavors. (I think raspberry tea is only available in the CL, not Wal-mart brand). I just like a bit of flavor in my Water. I drink more of it when it's flavored.

Water Sensations (I have only found it at Target but it's available online, too) is really good. I dilute it, too.

It is most definately better than Diet Pepsi!

And Funnyduddies Soup is wonderful. I'm not doing the diet, but I keep the soup handy for Snacks and as veggies for meals...it's yummy and easy to get the veggies in when you have the soup handy.

Good stuff, BPM!

The Wal Mart brand says zero calories. It was 1.75 vs. 3.xx for Crystal Light so I figured I would try it.

I will try mixing 1 container per gallon...that sounds like it might be just right....it is way too sweet tasting for me mixed the way the directions say. Thanks for the advice.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
