MelAnne 0 Posted July 4, 2006 Went great, he woke up fairly quickly and was ready to get home. He has been sticking to the Jello, Water, broth and his Protein shake (had first one this morning) He has a lot of bruising across his stomach, I did not have that, and I have had 3 of these type surgeries. (Gallbladder, hernia repair and nissen wrap, then lapband) It is SOOOOO different being on this side of the fence. I did NOT like him being in there for surgery. Even tho I knew the doctor, had done it myself, blah blah blah - I was scared &*^%# I am so glad he is home, and smiling at me!!!

MelAnne 0 Posted July 6, 2006 He is doing great - he wants to eat things too soon - but otherwise he's glad to see the pounds down - he is down 10 pounds this morning - not bad for 4 days out!
juliegeraci 7 Posted July 6, 2006 Melanie, hope your husband is doing well. As far as wanting to eat, I made the mistake early on moving too fast to solids and my doctor really balled me out. Please make sure he follows the restricted diet. He can slip his band and cause additional irritation if he eats too soon. But again, I think you know that. Good luck.
