How long was she in pain. This is the only surgery I know of personally. A friend who has by-pass did it about 3 years ago and her surgeon did a great job. His concern, and he kept warning her, that gravity would cause them to sag again within 18 months. (Very honest surgeon.) But let me assure you, sag of thin arms is totally different than sag of once the arms of a 350 pound woman where Ann started. She has about a 1/2 inch scar and it's fading. Ann never mentioned pain at all. She was bothered more about the anxiety and stiffness of moving her arms and stretching/tearing the incision. And there were drains. And having just gone through that with my sleeve, I know I can take that for a week or so.

It's the one thing I must have done. And come Jan 1 I start my savings account and plan to have the surgery in October 12. I want to be healed and ready for the next summer. But the only person I've talked to is Ann. If I find out now it's far more painful than I thought, I might just have to live in 3/4 sleeves.

She was in pain for about a week and she normally does really well with pain. She still does not wear sleeveless shirts because of scarring. But she doesn't wear 3/4 either. She just wears tshirts. My arms have shrunk quite a bit already and I have really been working out. I would make sure to try and talk to mutiple people about the pros and cons of getting it done. But also make sure to wait about 2 years to see how much your skin may bounce back. You can see some before and after photos on here that show some women who had really large arms before they lost weight and what they look like now.

I'm glad this is being discussed. I've been pricing different procedures so I have an idea of what I might be looking at when I reach goal. I know that there will be a long scar. My plan had been to just get tattoo's to cover them. One arm I am planning on being a 1/2 - 3/4 sleeve anyway. The other arm wasn't going to have much in the way of tattoo's, but if I have a big scar, I might have to change that.

It's similar for tattoos. One of the more painful tattoo locations is the underside of the arm. I cannot remember why (nerves, sensitivity, something like that).

I'm planning to have my arms done in December. I can wear a S-M in tshirts but have to buy a L because of my arms. That said, I'm too embarrased to wear a tshirt unless the sleeve comes down to my elbows. Buying tshirts is so tough for that reason. Jeans are easy these days. I love my Sleevie.

Everyone I know who had their arms done are really unhappy with the scars.

The plastic surgeon who did an absolutely wonderful job on my face lift, says he won't do arms because the scars that are left are unavoidable

and ugly.

I've never actually looked on the plastic surgery forum at obesityhelp for someone who had their arms done to see if they are happy with the results.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
