jess231305 0 Posted June 9, 2011 I had my surgery May 25th. I have been doing good on drinking liquids but now all the sudden when i drink it feels like i have something stuck in my throat. Kind of like when you take a pill and it doesnt go down good. Does anyone know whats going on? it makes me not want to drink anything because of that feeling. KellyL 173 Posted June 9, 2011 This can sometimes be acid, are you on an acid reducer? If so, what mg a day do you take?
jess231305 0 Posted June 10, 2011 They do not have me on any acid reducer. Should i be? even when i take small drinks. it is making me not want to drink at all. Also i have not lost 1 pound in 3 days is that normal?
Rev Me Up! 75 Posted June 10, 2011 Re: not losing weight--you may be hitting your 3-5 week stall. A lot of us were told to use an acid reducer from day one, regardless of whether we had symptoms. I use Zegerid OTC. Anything with Omeprazole in it will work (Prilosec, Nexium). Take it first thing in the morning and don't eat for an hour afterwards. If you are having acid problems, that should help. I would call the doc, though, just in case there is something else going on. Not being able to drink is not good. Are you eating ok?
