jeniferdann 0 Posted June 9, 2011 Hello! I was sleeved on June 1st - I had lost about 9 before the surgery (two weeks of shakes) and once I got home I was down to 17 pounds lossed. That seems like a REALLY big jump for in the hospital and then nothing since. I have been at the same weight for 5 days. I am new at this, but I am panicking it didn't work! How fast is the weight going to come off in the beginning? It seems like for some people 30 pounds in two weeks is normal but for others 30 pounds takes two months... decamom 31 Posted June 9, 2011 Congratulations on your weight loss! You are doing great in my opinion. I am 5.5 weeks out and lost 19 lbs. since surgery. It has been 2 weeks since the scale has moved but my clothes are hanging off me. Everyone is different and I think (someone please correct me if I am wrong) that the more weight you have to lose, the faster it comes off at first. Just keep following your plan and you will do great! Laura p.s. I had to stop weighing myself every day because it was making me discouraged. jeniferdann 0 Posted June 9, 2011 That is so funny - my husband JUST threatened to hide the scale and I think I am going to have to let him. I can't resist. I can tell my clothes are fitting differently and I am obviously eating far less, I am just anxious. I am on the lower side I guess, given that I only have a little bit more than 100 to lose - so if the more you need to lose the faster you lose is true, that makes sense. Congrats on your loss!! biglittleb 0 Posted June 9, 2011 Hi! I was also sleeved June 1st and am only down 8 lbs since surgery, so I would say you are doing great! I think a lot of the problem might be Water weight??? I am anxious to start walking (even slowly) and i think that will help a lot since my metabolism is probably way down right now due to lack of energy intake.
