MsDownToMe 2 Posted June 6, 2011 OMG-I just realized I made a big boo boo! My insurance requires a Pulmonologist appointment within 30 days of surgery. Pretty Simple, right??? Wrong! Leave it to me to go to my appointment 32 days before my surgery!! I am stressing now and wondering if I am gonna have to do it again and pay out of pocket because I am sure insurance is NOT gonna pay for 2 just because I made this mistake. I feel like such a goofy goober!! Has anyone else done this or anything similar, and if so what happened?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Caliblonde 25 Posted June 6, 2011 What are you going to have to do again? I do believe that the worst thing that could happen is that your surgery gets postponed until you have all of the required tests completed. I would just call the insurance company and get names of Pulmonologists you can go to and just call, explain your situation and see what they can do for you. It will all work out! Good luck
MsDownToMe 2 Posted June 6, 2011 Wonderful news!! After talking with the surgical coordinator, she said my Pulmonologist Clearance IS going to be acceptable even though I did it 2 days too early!! Happy Dance!! :party4:
