ybnormal 21 Posted June 3, 2011 I will tell you more in a month, but after 9 days I've lost 22 pounds.
Foxbins 625 Posted June 3, 2011 It seems to depend, in large part, on how heavy you are at surgery. Better to think about average percentage of weight lost the first month. I started at 232 and lost 17 lbs, or 7.33% of my total weight, or almost 21% of my excess weight.
Becca 108 Posted June 3, 2011 I was a revision from the band. I lost 42 pounds with the band in three and a half years. I lost 22 the first month with the sleeve and approximately 10 pounds per month after that. I am five months out. I was at 60 pounds lost on my five month mark with the sleeve and in total I have lost 104 pounds with both surgeries. THE SLEEVE IS AWESOME! No complaints! meggiep 57 Posted June 4, 2011 I will be a month on Monday but so far have lost 16 pounds post op. I also lost 18 pounds on my pre-op liquid diet. I started a thread in post-op asking about pre-op vs. no pre-op diet and how it affects post-op weight loss. I had my first stall at 2 weeks but when I think about it I had lost 30 pounds at that point in four weeks! Of course my body was in shock. I actually consider my 2 weeks of liquids as my start date.
