MissBliss 29 Posted June 1, 2011 I am at the beginning of my journey, my paperwork has been submitted, had bloodwork, and tomorrow is my psych evaluation. I met with my PCP today and got my bloodwork results. No diabetes, no thyroid problems, only slightly elevated cholesterol. I got weighed - ugh- and we talked.....alot. He was enthusiatic and supportive and said I was an excellent candidate, and he would do everything in his power to make sure I didn't have any insurance problems! What a great doctor visit! I was sure that I would have some "sugar" problems! Thanks everyone for all the information here, I was well armed with information and he was impressed with how ready I was! So, now, onward and upward....to better things!

LOL!! I wish you a relationship like this with your PCP!!!!! Yeah, I don't think that is going to happen though lol! 2 years ago when I went to see her for the first time she pretty much ignored the fact that I was way overweight. She was like "okay, i see no problems, do you have any questions" and then I brought up my weight and I asked her for help... she put me on phentermine and said "just eat healthy and avoid carbs". I lost weight but I gained it all back once I stopped (you can only safely take it for three months). But I guess we'll see what she thinks when I see her in the next month or two!!
