Luv4me 0 Posted May 30, 2011 WOW! NEVER-MIND Just yesterday I was almost in tears thinking that I'm a failure. I was almost thinking about missing another doctors appointment because I didn't want to hear him say "your not on track" Today is my two month surger-versary. I Jumped on the scale this am, and WOW, down 50lb. !!! (since preop diet) That means SOMEHOW I've lost 3lbs in 3 days (?) , the only thing different I've done is added 15 almonds ( no salt) in my diet daily for the past 3 days, upped my Water and had a slim fast for the past 3 days. Never-mind, I'm not a failure and I'm not letting that scale get me down again. It plays tricks on you mind. CrAzY TrIcKs!
Virginia S 13 Posted May 30, 2011 Congrats! It's easy to get discouraged, I'm glad you're feeling better about yourself. Remember this the next time a slow losing period hits - it WILL end, and it's not your fault. I have been slow losing the last several weeks - about 2 lbs a week. This week - 6 lbs. I think the biggest differences have been I'm able to get a little more Protein from food/less Protein drinks and I've continued to push to up my fluids. Gotta go update my ticker :-)
KellyL 173 Posted May 30, 2011 Wow, congrats!! You're doing great!! Good for you on not letting the scale control you or your moods. We are taking the slow scenic route, not the interstate. And we'll get to our destination when we're suppose to.
